1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account and using Sagechat.ai ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by Sevenfires AI LLC (EIN: 42-2233722), a Wisconsin limited liability company. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Sagechat.ai provides access to an AI assistant ("Sage") powered by Claude, trained with culturally grounded knowledge rooted in Indigenous values and teachings. Sage is designed to provide educational guidance, answer questions, and facilitate learning about Indigenous cultures and communities.

3. AI-Generated Content & Limitations

Important: Sage is an artificial intelligence system, not an elder, knowledge keeper, or official representative of any tribe, nation, or Indigenous community.

AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies, incomplete information, or errors. You acknowledge and accept that:

• Sage's responses are educational guidance only and should not be treated as authoritative
• Cultural, spiritual, or ceremonial matters require consultation with community elders and traditional knowledge holders
• Medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice should come from qualified professionals, not Sage
• Sage may make mistakes despite careful training and should not be your sole source of information

For sacred knowledge: Always consult directly with your tribal nation, elders, and cultural practitioners.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Sagechat.ai only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Use the Service to harass, harm, discriminate, or abuse any person or group
• Misrepresent, falsify, or disrespect Indigenous cultures, traditions, ceremonies, or sacred teachings
• Use the Service to generate misleading, false, or harmful content
• Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape, abuse, or overload the Service
• Violate any applicable federal, state, tribal, or international law
• Infringe on intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person

5. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password
• Providing accurate, truthful information during account creation
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• All activities that occur under your account

You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit permission.

6. Usage Limits

All users are subject to fair usage limits to ensure service quality and sustainability:

• Free users: 10,000 tokens per calendar day (resets at midnight UTC)
• Exceeding limits will result in temporary access restriction until daily reset
• Sevenfires AI LLC reserves the right to adjust limits as needed

7. Intellectual Property

Sagechat.ai and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by Sevenfires AI LLC, protected by copyright and other laws. You retain ownership of content you create and input. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use your feedback to improve Sage.

Indigenous knowledge presented in Sage is offered with respect for tribal sovereignty and intellectual property rights. We do not claim ownership of tribal knowledge, cultural teachings, or sacred traditions.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. Sevenfires AI LLC disclaims all express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Sage will be:

• Accurate, complete, or error-free
• Uninterrupted or secure
• Free of viruses or harmful components
• Suitable for any particular purpose you have in mind

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Sevenfires AI LLC shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities
• Inaccurate or harmful AI responses
• Any decisions made based on Sage's advice
• Third-party actions or content

In no event shall our total liability exceed $100 or the amount you paid for the Service in the prior 12 months, whichever is less.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sevenfires AI LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

Sevenfires AI LLC may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or other conduct we deem harmful to the Service or community. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts in Wisconsin.
